Salary: Band 10, £45,948 - £50,109
Location: Agile, Forth Banks Police Station, Newcastle and homeworking
Hours/Contract: Full time, fixed term / secondment until 31st December 2024

This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our Estates Department as an Estates Technical Project Manager.
As the Estates Technical Project Manager, reporting directly to the Estates Projects Lead you will manage and deliver allocated projects to agreed parameters of quality, time and cost. You will be key in ensuring all project meet operational policing requirements and Force objectives.
What you’ll do
- Performing project management, technical, health and safety / CDM and contractual duties in relation to allocated projects.
- Maintaining detailed knowledge of all legislation, guidance and best practice impacting on the Estates Section.
- Identifying and proactively engage with all internal and external stakeholders and ensure that the project team has a thorough understanding of the operational and technical requirements
- Preparing individual project option appraisals, feasibility reports, business cases and board papers
- Preparing project briefs and specifications ensuring at all times that these meet the operational requirements of the organisation.
- Managing both design and construction contracts in use by the organisation from initiation of the procurement process through to completion, managing contractor performance through the use of KPI’s etc through a process of continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring
- Degree in quantity surveying / building surveying, building services engineers, architecture, or facilities management.
- Knowledge and use of JCT and NEC forms of contract and contract remedies

Terms of appointment
This is a fixed term role subject to a six-month probationary period.
