Salary An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Estimating Manager at one of the UK's leading main contractors who are looking to strengthen their current bid team with a key appointment.
As a business they have a focus on commercial, education, health care, industrial and leisure sectors; they are involved in various frameworks and price competitively up to the value to £150m - projects are mostly in Central London and the surrounding inner London Boroughs.
The Role:
The aim of your role as an Estimating Manager will be to support the Estimating Director by helping to oversee a strong team Senior Estimators, and Intermediate/Assistant Estimators as required and oversee the team in the Estimating Director's absence.
This is a hands-on role where you will be obtaining the most competitive quotes by understanding the current market trends and to identify and report on risk and opportunity scope.
As Estimating Manager you will need to have full working knowledge of Conquest Estimating software and ensure upgrades are understood and implemented.
You will also have to operate within the guidelines of company policy and their standards within the Estimating Procedures. It is also important that you are aware of current H&S requirements and changes in the market.
The Estimating Manager position will be an integral role, thus you must have experience working for a major UK contractor in a similar position and be able to demonstrate a stable employment track record.

The Estimating Manager will not be required to work on or oversee international tenders/bids.
