SalaryReed Engineering are working with an amazing client in Newcastle to help them recruit an Asbestos Coordinator.
The role of the Asbestos Coordinator will support the Repairs and Maintenance service with the planning and co-ordination of all asbestos activity, ensuring consistent safe and compliant delivery of activity within the service.
Responsibilities
Work within an accredited Quality Management Systems ISO 17020 & ISO 17025.
Utilise our internal PIMS contract management system.
Analyse information to make informed decisions regarding workload, personnel, logistics, and reporting requirements.
Maintain regular contact with clients via telephone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
Update key stakeholders regularly on the progress of their individual schemes and liaise regarding relevant issues involving contracts, tenants, clients, etc.
Organise site staff daily in liaison with the Site Manager.
Monitor job progress to provide information for future workload and logistics.
Prioritise samples/surveys entering the office/laboratory in liaison with the Office Manager.
Maintain records system including health & safety, equipment, and fleet/transport requirements.
Use various items of office equipment.
Liaise with senior staff and technical/laboratory staff.
Ensure cleanliness of office and workspace.
Qualifications
Asbestos Qualification
Knowledge of Health and Safety risk management and procedures.
working in a commercial environment.
You will also need have sound knowledge of Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR) and CDM Regulations 2015.
8-4:30 Monday to Friday
25,000 - 35,000 salary depending on experience
