We are looking for a maintenance estimator to service tender enquiries and budget quotations, liaising with clients to understand their needs, assess material, labour and equipment requirements, analyse quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers and develop cost estimates, tenders and bid proposals.This position is a standalone role, and is not suitable for highly experienced estimators.

The Candidate:
- Previous experience as an Estimator in the construction industry (1 – 3 years).
- Working knowledge of steel, glass and cladding is desirable
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Solid organisational skills with ability to manage deadlines and own workload.
- Good commercial acumen
- Enterprising /self-starter
- Motivated and able to work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptable /cooperative – willingness to help with any task to achieve a goal and ready and able to adapt to meet the needs of the business
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Putting together quotes for maintenance and cleaning projects.
- Acknowledge and process all external and internal enquiries
- Evaluate all enquiries for suitability
- Retrieve and assess tender documentation including drawings
- Discuss requirements with clients and liaise with Senior Management and Design & Engineering department
- Liaise with suppliers and other entities for supply of equipment and materials
- Arrange material samples, when required
- Liaise with subcontractors for supply of labour or specialist services
- Monitor and update supplier price lists, NFM stock prices rates
- Monitor tender submission deadlines
- Arrange site visits and surveys
- Monitor and update/revise master cost sheets and master formal quotation documents
- Produce cost sheets and formal quotations/tender submissions, including revisions.
- Supply of materials
- Repeat maintenance contracts
- Small works resulting from maintenance contracts
- Replacement and remedial works
- Bird deterrent systems
- New installations
- Variations relating to existing projects.
- Record and monitor all submissions and contact clients for regular progress updates
- Respond and assist with all client queries
- Complete basic supplier questionnaires
- Process all received orders and contracts, including liaise with Commercial department, record sale, internal set up of project and handover to Project Team
