Job description

We are seeking an Evaluation Lead - Energy & Environment to join a world-renowned, multinational leading market research organisation.

Our Client

A market research agency who have been in the industry for nearly 50 years, who focuses on delivering more than data for their clients. They are passionately curious experts who not only shape their insights into the markets they are working in but also to the True Understanding of society and People.

They utilise the best science, technology, and know-how and apply this with their four main pillar principles of speed, simplicity, security and substance to everything they do. An organisation that has real curiosity and a client-first mindset has been driving forward in the industry, collaborating with their clients to make market research the best it possibly can.

Key Duties

  • Managing large-scale and high-profile process, impact and economic evaluation projects. This will involve ensuring projects are delivered to budget and timescale; developing and maintaining client relationships; designing and adapting project plans that meet client needs; and selecting and managing a team effectively and efficiently. As an Associate Director, you will also direct smaller projects.
  • Designing robust and fit-for-purpose evaluation approaches, frameworks and methodologies at both bid and inception stage (and as projects require adaptation), and then overseeing the delivery of such methods.
  • Involvement in the strategic, operational and people management of the Energy and Environment team.
  • Closely working with our client's primary research teams and our partners to deliver evaluation studies and provide advisory inputs.
  • Developing the skills of other colleagues within the team through technical leadership, effective feedback and coaching.

Skills & Experience

  • A strong academic background in social sciences, engineering or climate sciences.
  • Proven experience delivering evaluation in a public, commercial and/or consultancy environment. This entails knowledge of evaluation principles, evaluation design and applied knowledge of at least some evaluation methods.
  • A passion for climate and Environmental issues and their impacts on the UK and globally.
  • An understanding of public policy, the policy cycle and drivers of policymaking and decision-making in government.
  • Proven ability in business development and revenue generation, demonstrating the ability to develop new markets through strategic leadership, leading winning research and evaluation proposals, and effective delivery.

If this sounds like an opportunity that piques your interest, please apply today.
