Evaluation Manager London, SW1 (with hybrid working) The Organisation The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) is an independent charity dedicated to breaking the link between family income and educational achievement. We do this by supporting schools, colleges and nurseries to improve teaching and learning through better use of evidence. We generate research evidence on effective practice in supporting learning outcomes and narrowing the socioeconomic attainment gap, and we work with education professionals to ensure this evidence is applied to achieve the maximum possible benefit for children and young people. We are currently seeking an Evaluation Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis. You’ll commission evaluations in our priority areas, critically reviewing evaluation proposals to ensure the proposed designs are high quality, cost-effective and that the most suitable external evaluators are matched with projects. Acting as the primary point of contact for evaluators, you’ll liaise between the evaluator and the delivery team, chairing meetings and working closely with our Programmes Team to ensure the evaluation project is set up effectively with a high-quality design. About You To be considered as an Evaluation Manager, you will need: - Experience of delivering or commissioning quantitative evaluation projects in education, health, or a related field - An understanding of the technical aspects of evaluation methodologies (randomised controlled trials, quasi-experimental designs, choice of outcome measurement, implementation and process evaluations, etc.) and an ability to identify high quality evaluation plans and reports - Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills - An organised and methodical approach, with excellent project management skills - A degree with substantial research methodological training, or equivalent research experience All our staff are subject to a check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
