Role: Event Crew Summer Job - warehouse, delivery and set up
Salary: £8.60 - £11.44 per hour depending on age.
Type: Zero Hours Contract | Fixed Term until end of August 2024.
Location: Kirkcaldy
Hours: Zero hours contract, however it is estimated between 24 to 54 hours a week over five days, Monday to Sunday. Scheduled shifts, days, evenings and weekends. Opportunity to extend contract depending on business requirements at end of period.

360 Event Hire Ltd are one of Scotland’s fastest growing event equipment hire suppliers supporting the events, festivals, wedding, TV and film sectors across Scotland. As part of our continued growth, we are looking to expand our team by having someone join us to take a key role in our equipment warehousing and delivery operation. This role will involve being in the in the warehouse, loading vehicles, equipment preparation and maintenance, as well as being out on the road delivering, setting up, removing and collecting equipment across Scotland with the team.
We work with a varied range of clients including numerous wedding and event venues, sporting events, festivals and corporate events. We work on jobs of all sizes, from small gatherings at residential homes to large national and international events.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Van Driver and Warehouse Operative to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing, maintaining and transporting hire equipment to various locations across Scotland, with set-up required at some sites. This position requires a valid driver's license and experience in commercial driving.
Specific Roles and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a van to transport equipment to designated locations
- Load and unload using appropriate equipment
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Communicate with Hire Coordinators, Operations Manager, customers, and team members regarding delivery status
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries
- Required to build/de-rig equipment at some events.
- Loading and unloading of vans. The role involves an element of manual handling of bulky and heavy equipment.
- Checking-out equipment: ensuring that all items going out on the hire list are present, operational and cleanly presented to company standards.
- Checking-in of equipment: ensuring that all items are returned from the hire list. Log and report any shortages or damages.
- Organise and keep up to date the digital scheduling system to allow for efficient and streamlined operations.
- Report any damaged stock.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Driver and Warehouse experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no more than 6 points)
- Flexi Forklift experience an advantage but training will be provided
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Ability to operate GPS systems and other navigation tools
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines

- Flexibility of hours. This role often requires early starts and late finishes.
- Maintain a good level of personal appearance, dress and cleanliness.
