Job description

Active Training Team Ltd (ATT) are a London-based company who use experiential and immersive training to bring about behavioural change in people and organisations. Our training combines interactive experiences, film, drama, live action and facilitated discussion. In March 2024, ATT are opening an immersive, theatre-based, one-day induction day in Perth, Scotland, for a national energy company.

Purpose of the role: To provide leadership on-site for the delivery team presenting the induction experience to all participants. To provide a friendly and welcoming environment whilst ensuring the safety and comfort of cast and crew, as well as participants, throughout their day at the centre.

Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract with potential for renewal or extension

Days of work: 4-days per week (Usual schedule Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (0745 - 1715 hrs). You may be offered additional days from time to time; these are optional not mandatory. They will be paid at your usual daily rate.

General Duties:

  • Represent ATT as host of the centre in a professional, courteous, and flexible manner
  • Act as bridge and liaison on behalf of ATT and the client, when interacting with participants
  • To be an effective and empathetic leader of the delivery team, so that they feel supported and able to deliver outstanding sessions, every time
  • To be the primary client contact at the centre, liaising on behalf of ATT with the client.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as required by ATT regarding the centre.

Example Tasks + Responsibilities:

  • To be the on-site leader and point of contact for cast and crew on the induction project.
  • Run morning briefings; control building safety compliance (fire drills, evacuation and health & safety) 
  • Oversee the usher team who guide participants around the centre
  • Manage stock - costume, props, general kit, consumables, supplies etc.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Stage Manager to ensure the day runs smoothly
  • Manage daily administration tasks; e.g. attendance sheets, show reports, catering orders, name badges etc.
  • Support the recruitment and training of new crew members/ushers.
  • Create monthly client report documents.

Necessary Skills/Experience:

  • Experience of working in performing arts, events, or venue management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all types of internal and external personnel and manage challenges.
  • Experience of taking the lead in emergency situations.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • A confident and positive approach to customer service.
  • Experience managing a team in a prior role.
  • Competent with the following programmes: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Google Drive
