About the role
We are a team of people who love and look after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world and our ambition is to be a charity for everyone, starting from our own employees.
With this in mind, we are developing a wider program of apprenticeships, paid internships, and scholarships, and we are now looking to recruit a Level 5 Audiovisual apprentice
Your time will be divided between attending classes on relevant subjects and practical experience in the workplace which will include:
- Setting up lectures
- High profile dinners
- Conferences
- Film screenings
- Weddings
- Presentations
Whatever the event you’ll be liaising with suppliers, dealing with enquiries, keeping records and helping to set-up, operate and de-rig equipment.
The role involves working on varied projects, on varied shifts, some of which will involve working unsociable hours.
About you
We are looking for someone who is keen to learn, has good attention to details, and, due to the nature of the role, who has a full driving licence, is able to physically move heavy equipment and is prepared for some very early starts/ very late finishes from Hampton Court Palace. You will also need good communication skills and the ability to manage your time and workload.
More than anything we are looking for potential, but, as this Apprenticeship starts at Level 5 we do have a few eligibility requirements:
- You must be 18 years old or over on 2nd September 2024.
- Live in UK (resident in country role is based).
- You must not have completed a degree or equivalent level qualification in the UK or elsewhere and not already be in full-time education.
- You must have a minimum of three A-Levels , and
- Five GCSEs at grade C (or 4) or above, including English and mathematics (or equivalent)
