Events Executive

Your new company
Within the Higher Education Institute, the Communications and External Affairs department is responsible for building and protecting the organisation\'s reputation, engaging with a range of stakeholders, and raising awareness of the distinctness of teaching, research, and other activities. They are responsible for communications, public affairs, brand, and content strategies, supporting the organisation\'s strategic priorities and plans for growth.
Your new role

• Planning and implementation of an engaging programme of professionally-run public, student recruitment and corporate events.
• Project manage, deliver, support and co-ordinate the organisation\'s events from end to end.
• Working with the Events Manager, this role is part of the consultancy service to all external and internal stakeholders across the organisation\'s community.

What you\'ll need to succeed

• Experience of working in a professional event organisation from concept to completion.
• Experience of managing projects from the short to the long term, including time and resource management with very tight time constraints.
• Experience of working in event management / organisation outside or inside the Higher Education sector.
• Experience of successfully utilising project management skills.
• Knowledge and experience of having a customer-focused attitude and working in a customer-facing environment.
• Microsoft Word office-using large customer contact databases.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication (written, verbal and listening) and public relations skills.
• Ability to develop a network of contacts
