Events & Marketing Manager The Role:
Following extraordinary growth over the last two years, the team are looking for an exceptional Events & Marketing Manager to head up the customer-facing businesses such as estate tours and events, bird watching tours and holidays, catering using estate produce, retail operations for estate produce.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled marketing professional with a strong track record of promoting products via various channels such as retail, events and e-commerce. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a can-do attitude and a proactive, positive outlook on business growth.
This role will allow you to tackle lots of new and exciting projects so you must be confident in your own ability to research, identify and execute new ideas.
Events & Marketing Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Establish routes to market including sales of estate produce during estate events and on-line sales
- Establish an accommodation and events business for day and overnight tours
- Creating menus for a gastronomic experience, showcasing estate produce
- Manage the detailed day-to-day aspects of marketing and events related projects
- Monitor productivity and work closely with other department heads to improve efficiency
- Develop sustainable processes to ensure quality and increase productivity and profitability
- Estimate and implement budgets including manage and submit documentation
- Communicate objectives, goals, and progress to the custodian and head of departments
- Keep up to date with, and understand of relevant laws, licences and regulations in your business unit area
- Set and agree on quarterly objectives and key results (OKRs) with the Custodian of the Estate
Events & Marketing Manager You:
- Business or Marketing qualification or equivalent experience
- Commercially minded with a passion for growing business and an entrepreneurial flair
- an interest in birds and wildlife would be an advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organised and proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Works well in a team as well as independently
- Excellent multi-tasking ability
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experienced at implementing change to maximise efficiency in processes, results, and team structure
- Capability to develop new skills and understand new technology as required
- Full driving licence
Personal attributes and other requirements:
- A passion for sales and driving growth via marketing initiatives
- Understanding of commercial trends and marketing strategies
- Good project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Drive and passion to succeed in a business which has a lot of marketing projects at the inception stage
