The UCL Campus Experience team sits within the wider team of UCL Campus Experience and Infrastructure division which provides a wide range of facilities management and business support services to UCL Staff and Students across UCL East and Bloomsbury campus. It Is also responsible for UCL Accommodation. About the role The UCL Campus Experience and Commercial Services team is seeking to recruit an Events Officer to assist with creating more opportunities for students to engage with our campuses through events. The role seeks to support in developing a comprehensive events programme in line with UCL’s strategic campus experience plan and business goals. Reporting to the Events Manager, the new Events Officer will support the delivery of the department’s events plan. They will proactively support each event process from the planning stage, administration, through to delivering the event and supporting post-event evaluation and will collaborate with colleagues and students across UCL to develop and deliver these events. They will also work closely with the wider team including Communications and Strategy & Experience. The Events Officer will be expected to be a fully contributing member of the wider team, and to assist on other team projects as needed. Due to the nature of this role, you will be expected to work at evening and weekend events occasionally. We are working in a hybrid model, the successful candidate will be expected to work from our offices for a minimum of two days per week (this may change in the future in line with operational needs). About you To be successful in this role you need experience in organising and supporting a variety of successful in-person and virtual events, ideally as part of a professional role. You will have experience of event set-up and breakdown and will be confident in daily project management of events including update planning documents, timelines, track actions and meeting notes. You are highly organised with excellent problem solving, organisation and decision making skills. You take a hands on approach to work and have a strong customer experience ethos.
