Events Officer

Every week we welcome multiple organisations onto the Senedd Estate to raise awareness of an issue, discuss new ideas or celebrate achievement. Events are delivered by a team of four Events Officers, led by the Events & Production Manager, who work closely with our in-house Audio Visual, Estates and Translation teams to shape activities within our designated event spaces.
The team deliver events sponsored by Members of the Senedd, and this role plays an integral part in promoting understanding of the democratic process, engagement with current issues and providing a platform for people to make their voices heard.
As Events Officer you will work alongside other members of the team to deliver up to 10 events a week on the Senedd estate including lectures, performances, awards ceremonies and exhibitions, to name a few. You will also support partnership events with organisations such as Wales Millenium Centre; or assist in the facilitation of venue takeovers by local production TV & film studios.
The Senedd prides itself on using technology in innovative ways to engage with the people of Wales and provide services for Members of the Senedd. We are an acknowledged leader in the use of technology for legislative bodies. By hosting virtual and hybrid events we can widen our audience and improve accessibility to reach a broad and diverse range of spectators to the event, allowing for us to better engage with the people of Wales.
Our events take place during the daytime and evening, and you will be required to work to a rota to cover these events.
