We have an exciting opportunity to join our Events team within Fundraising. This role is a part time job share over 22.5hours, covering 3 days to include Monday and Thursday. The Full Time Equivalent for this role is £35,724.

As Events Officer you’ll deliver a range of events including evening receptions, garden parties and project events for donors, supporters and wider stakeholders.

Your contractual location will be Heelis, Swindon however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree remote working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The role will also involve travel to venues, properties or regional hubs to meet with stakeholders and to carry out work.

What you'll be doing

As one of our Events Officers, working closely with your job share, you will be responsible for planning and delivering your own portfolio of high-profile stewardship, cultivation, and engagement events, with support from the Events team and working closely with stakeholders from across the charity. These events are vital in bringing our supporters closer to our work and to show the impact they help us to achieve. 

You will work alongside the wider Fundraising team centrally and regionally, Director-General’s office, and the wider organisation, to deliver memorable and impactful events. 

You’ll support the Events Manager with the development of the long-term strategy and targets for the events programme, and you will be responsible for bringing that to life in the way the events are executed. You will ensure events are relevant to the different audiences.

  • A high level of experience in event management
  • Knowledge of fundraising and/or working in the charity sector
  • Organisational skills with an ability to work strategically, and meet event deadlines
  • Experience in developing KPIs and tools for successful events
  • Ability to confidently build relationships and brief senior stakeholders
  • IT skills, especially working with databases and other event tools i.e Salesforce, Eventbrite
