This role involves both on-site execution and in-house preparation, ensuring their clients events run smoothly from start to finish.
Job Description
As an Events Technician, you will play a crucial role in the seamless delivery of live events. Your responsibilities will be split between on-site installation, operation, and dismantling, and in-house prepping and maintenance of video and LED systems. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will ensure client events are executed flawlessly, maintaining their reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
In-House Responsibilities:
Preparation: Complete in-house prep of video and LED systems, ensuring all equipment is ready and functional for upcoming events.
Coordination: Seamlessly collaborate with the Warehouse Management team to ensure timely readiness of all equipment.
Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on all video and LED systems, troubleshooting and resolving any issues promptly.
On-Site Responsibilities:
Installation & Setup: Collaborate with the events team to rig, connect, and configure video and LED systems at event locations.
Operation: Operate video and LED equipment during live events, ensuring system reliability and high-quality performance.
Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve any technical issues that arise during events to minimize disruptions.
Documentation: Label and document system configurations for accurate setup and troubleshooting.
Dismantling: Support the orderly dismantling and packing of equipment post-event, ensuring all systems are accounted for and properly stored.
Requirements
Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within the events industry, with a focus on video and/or LED systems.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of video and LED technology, including rigging, connection, and troubleshooting.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with other departments, staff, freelancers, and clients.
Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and resolve issues swiftly in a live event environment.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team, ensuring the smooth execution of events.
