Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of The Mirfield Free Grammar
We are looking to recruit Exam Invigilators at The Mirfield Free Grammar, for our busy exam periods and for any internal exams we have which occur throughout the academic year.
These roles are offered on a casual basis and, if appointed, you will be joining a bank of invigilators who support our Exams Officer.
This is an extremely important role; essential to maintaining the smooth running of our examination process. In addition to ensuring that correct exam procedures are followed, successful applicants will be responsible for:
- Setting out and then collecting exam papers and materials
- Admitting students to the exam halls/rooms
- Invigilating during the exams
- Collating exam papers to be sent off to the exam boards
We are looking for candidates who can be calm and reassuring to exam students, who have honesty and integrity and who are be able to work as part of a team. It is essential that successful candidates can remain alert and vigilant for the duration of the exam, which can be up to 3 hours. You will also need to ensure that you always remain discreet and confidential. Training for the position will be provided.
