About the Academy
The Charles Read Academy is in Corby Glen, Lincolnshire and it serves the villages between Stamford, Bourne and Grantham. In 2016, we were ranked one of the most improved secondary schools in the country in the performance tables and were proud to be judged 'good' by Ofsted in all areas in January 2017.

About the role
This Exam Invigilator role is Casual/ Zero Hours Contract
Provide support to the Examination and Data Officer in all matters relating to the management of examinations.
To assist in the setting up of the examination room(s).
To ensure the correct candidates are in the correct place.
To maintain security and confidentiality, ensuring that they do not discuss examinations which have been held at the Academy.
To assist in the opening and distributing of examination papers.
To ensure candidates have the required stationery/ equipment they need in the examination.
To ensure no inappropriate items are brought into the examination, such as mobile phones, personal stereos, revision notes or other items of stationery unless otherwise notified.
Ensure late candidates are briefed, seated and allowed to partake in the examination with minimum disruption.
To distribute additional paper/equipment as required.
To respond to any questions candidates may have during the examination but not to assist candidates in their answers.
Casual contract – zero hours
If appropriate, we will provide you with training to enable you to carry out these duties.

Who we are looking for
GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths
Administrative skills and experience
Reliable, well motivated and hard working
Full understanding of confidentiality
Experience working with children
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Positive about young people and the importance of education
Have high expectations of what students and staff can achieve
Fully supportive of the aims and ethos of a successful Academy
Able to develop and co-ordinate a sustainable strategy towards extra curriculum activities
