Job description

Hours: 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per annum.

Salary: £21,055.48 per annum pro rata + £3,929.06 enhanced holiday pay, which is £24,984.44 total pay package (£28,892 per annum Full-Time Equivalent)

Location: The role is based at the Dartford Campus, but the nature of the work may require travel to any of the College sites.

North Kent College (including Hadlow College) is proudly rated as an Ofsted 'Good’ provider, with 'Outstanding’ learner behaviours and attitudes (April 2024). With four campuses across Kent and 4,000 students, we strive to equip the young people who study here with an inclusive and innovative education experience to enhance their future career prospects, which, as noted by Ofsted, is supported through our high-quality, industry standard facilities. Each and every staff member plays a key part in delivering the success of our learners’ experience, and we want those who join our curriculum and support teams to share our passion in achieving this.

We are looking for a dynamic and well organised individual to coordinate the college's exam Access Arrangements.

Reporting to the Deputy Head of ALS, the Exam Access Arrangements Coordinator will be required to oversee the Access Arrangements for all applicable learners across all sites of North Kent and Hadlow College, ensuring that the college's systems and processes are adhered to and all arrangements are applied for and approved in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure, firm deadlines and be able to work well with others in various departments to ensure all paperwork is completed accurately. Experience in working with a high volume of data and spreadsheets is essential and being able to prioritise workloads will be key to ensure the business needs can be met.

Part of the role will require the conducting of psychometric testing and as such, the successful candidate must have completed an appropriate qualification or be prepared to undertake such a qualification within the first 12 months of joining. If the latter, candidates must be able to demonstrate awareness and experience in the administration of Access Arrangements or the processes, or other experience which can be transferred to this role.

We are keen to hear from applicants who are passionate about supporting learners with learning differences and want to make a positive impact in their learning journey. The attached job description provides more detail around the requirements of the role.

This role is a term time only role, across 38 weeks per year. The successful candidate can look forward to excellent benefits such as enhanced holiday pay, enrolment onto the Local Government Pension Scheme which includes life assurance, free parking, and access to a range of onsite facilities, including a restaurant, gym and coffee shop.

The closing date for applications is Thursday, 11th July 2024.

Interviews are going to take place on Wednesday, 17th July / Thursday, 18th July

North Kent College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and all staff have a responsibility to share and maintain this commitment.
