About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Executive Head Chef to lead our culinary team and oversee all aspects of food service across our visitor attraction, events venue, and corporate catering operations. They will be responsible for menu development, cost control, kitchen operations, staff leadership, and ensuring exceptional dining experiences for all our guests. The successful candidate will be someone with the ability and willingness to work to expand the vision and develop the brand.
Responsibilities:
· Lead and motivate a team to deliver high-quality food consistently across the estate
· Develop innovative and exciting menus for the visitor attraction and events, catering to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
· Manage food inventory and costs, ensuring efficient purchasing practices and minimising waste
· Implement and maintain high standards for food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen
· Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, and ensuring smooth workflow
· Conduct regular menu reviews and implement changes based on seasonality, guest feedback, and cost control
· Collaborate with events team to design customised menus for events, weddings and corporate functions
· Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
· Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure high-quality ingredients at competitive prices
· Participate in the development and implementation of new culinary initiatives
· Conduct staff training and development programs to nurture culinary skills and teamwork
Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or similar senior culinary role
· Proven experience in leading and motivating a team of chefs in a fast-paced environment
· Demonstrated ability to develop creative and diverse menus, catering to a variety of dietary needs
· Strong understanding of food costing and menu pricing
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
· Commitment to high standards of food hygiene and safety
· Passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
