Exit Support Worker - Complex Safeguarding Team - Bolton
Are you a passionate, dedicated Exit Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Support Worker to join a Complex Safeguarding Team based in Bolton.
Umbrella Rate: £21.21 per hour
Duration: 19/02/2024 - 3 months initially
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.45am – 5pm, 37 hrs/week – Office based (1 day WFH once induction is complete)
(due to the nature of the role, it includes evening work and may include weekends too)
Exit Support Worker role: Full JD Available
- Direct work with children and young people affected by Exploitation (criminal/ sexual), whose assessed level of need is at Child in Need and Child Protection, and their families
- Manage a caseload
- Complete specialist exploitation assessments, risk reduction and support plans
- Deliver interventions to meet their needs
- Provide physical and emotional support to the children and young people
- Engage with families to support them to meet the needs of their children
- Immediately raise any concerns you may have
- Gather information on potentially abusive adults in order to assist police with prosecution of offenders/ exploiters
- Work with partner agencies to provide appropriate service
- Offer support and consultation to additional partners who are supporting young people
- Contribute to the planning and development of the Complex Safeguarding Team’s and
the Department’s services - Participate in the administration of the work
- Maintain records of services provided to service users
- Attend meetings reviews, case conferences, core groups and review meetings
- Organise and chair child action meetings in response to Sexual /Criminal Exploitation
concerns
Essential Requirements
- UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
- Direct experience and a thorough understanding of the challenges of working with young people who are victims at risk of or being criminally exploited by organised criminal gangs
- Good knowledge of child protection safeguarding processes
- Good knowledge of legislation/ youth offending/ crime prevention and diversion
- Experience of delivering interventions to address concerns such as violence, offending, anti-social behaviour, substance misuse, peer pressure, ACE’s and impact of trauma
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS registered to the update service
