EXPERIENCED FLOOR LAYERS REQUIRED FOR 2 YEAR FLOORING CONTRACT

Duties:
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit designated areas
- Install various types of flooring, such as carpet, vinyl, laminate, and tile
- Prepare subfloors by removing old flooring, repairing any damage, and ensuring a smooth surface
- Apply adhesive or other bonding agents to secure flooring materials in place
- Create patterns and designs with different flooring materials as required
- Trim excess material and ensure a clean and professional finish
- Inspect completed work for quality and make any necessary adjustments or repairs

Experience:
- Previous experience as a floor layer or in a similar role is essential
- Knowledge of different types of flooring materials and installation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measuring and cutting materials
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Physical stamina to stand, kneel, bend, and lift heavy materials for extended periods of time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Barry, Vale of Glamorgan: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Floor laying: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
