Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant required ASAP in Poulton-Le-Fylde
Location: Poulton-Le-Fylde
Hours: 8:30am-3.30pm, Monday-Friday
Rate: £83-£90 per day
As an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) within the school. You will work closely with teachers and SENCO to implement individual education plans, provide tailored support, and create a nurturing learning environment where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN, including those with learning disabilities, emotional or behavioural difficulties, or physical disabilities
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
- Support students in accessing the curriculum, completing tasks, and developing essential skills
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to monitor progress and adjust support strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and report back to relevant stakeholders
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and well-being of students with SEN
All pay rates that are offered will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. Our working opportunities include temporary positions, permanent contracts and ad-hoc supply.
