Experienced Senior Research Nurses Phase 1 & 2 clinical trials

Starting salary £41,800–£48,650

+ estimated £3,000 for unsocial hours shifts

We are looking for experienced Senior Research Nurses to help lead the clinical aspects our phase I & phase II clinical trials. Duties include being the ‘champion’ for specific trials: liaising with pharmaceutical companies over trial progress; preparing scheduling and trial documents; and training staff in trial procedures. You’d take a lead in the collection of trial data and safety monitoring, ensuring that study participants are given the highest possible standard of care. You’d be responsible for mentoring staff, maintaining the highest standards of quality on our wards, and providing training on our externally-validated qualification in clinical pharmacology practice.

Successful candidates will have:

· adult NMC registration (RGN)

· at least 1 year’s experience of working in an early-phase clinical trials setting

· a sound knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, nursing practice and clinical trial design

· excellent written and spoken communication and exceptional organisational skills

· strong leadership and motivational skills

· immediate life support certification

· an aptitude for paperwork and knowledge of Microsoft Office

You must also:

be able to work evenings, alternate weekends and nights (approximately every 6 weeks)
