This role requires a strong chemical/geochemical background, together with an aptitude for practical activities (e.g. lab experiments), other skills such as data handling and modelling are desirable. Given BGS’s current and future commitments to externally funded work relevant to Decarbonisation & Resource Management, you will become involved in projects relating to radioactive waste, CCS, geothermal, energy storage, hydrogen storage and unconventional hydrocarbons.
