External Relations Lead

We are currently looking for an External Relations Lead to work for a well-respected Charity based in the Thatcham area. This is an excellent opportunity for an outgoing and articulate candidate with experience of building solid relationships with external stakeholders. 

Responsibilities:

• Managing and developing ex-attendee relations
• Building solid relationships with stakeholders over the phone and face to face
• Building and maintaining communities on social media 
• Developing the multi-year plan of activity and current engagement activity
• Organising reunions and networking events
• Delivering all aspects of event coordination
• Managing budgets, schedules and post event evaluations
• Keeping the database up to date with reports, photos, and feedback from events
• Creating content on activities in the form of blogs, articles, and social media
• Managing the annual magazine, quarterly e-news, and other publication

Requirements:

• A background in External Relations is essential
• Potentially from a role focused on Partnerships/Stakeholders/Fundraising/Membership/ Alumni or Charity 
• Must drive and have own transport
• Articulate communicator with a confident, warm and engaging manner

Note: This role will initially be offered on the basis of a 12 month contract, with the potential for extension or permanency after this time.
