AddressStaffline is recruiting for an Extrusion Operative to join our prestigious client based in Telford/ Halesfield.7
To develop skills and knowledge in extrusion operation. Under the direction of the production
management team, you will support setting up and running a blown film production line. You will also
contribute to ensuring the health and safety, quality and performance of the extruder and other
machines, as required.
Your Time at Work
You will work a continental shift pattern based on 3 days on and 3 days off - 12 hours shift.
Start time can various depending on the department - 7 PM or 8 PM.
Our Perfect Worker
Duties are:
- Use safe working practices at all times.
- Participate in all training provided to develop your skills and competence in extrusion
operation
- Report all line equipment faults as appropriate.
- Make regular quality checks on products against customer specifications.
- Monitor extrusion line and support operators in the fallowing activities:
o Spinner dropping
o Print tape changing
o Scrap removal
o Rolls jamming in conveying system
- Obtain all relevant information from production documentation and specification sheets.
- Record of all QA data as required.
- Support monitoring quality of product during job run and the maintenance of required
standards.
- Support monitoring job progress and ensure production quantity targets are met with
minimum waste.
- Communicate clearly within scope of responsibility to relevant personnel, e.g. Cell Leader
the nature of all production related problems.
- Working as a team with Packer/Operators within the production unit
- Handover all relevant information to the next shift
- Maintain a tidy working environment at all times and carry out a cleaning duty on the
whole extrusion line (only floor level).
Change work location within units as requested to maintain continuity of production and
provide cover for breaks/emergencies etc.
- Carry out any other duties as requested.
