Established in 2005, Dulwich College Beijing is a dynamic, very well-known and highly respected high-performing co-educational independent school. The school caters for approximately 1520 expatriate children aged 2-18 from 45 different countries across six continents. The school comprises three schools, each with its own Head teacher: Early Years; Junior School; and Senior School. They offer the English National curriculum in KS3, International GCSEs in KS4 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma in KS5. Living and Working in Beijing

Role

The DUCKS school (3-7 years) requires a dynamic and collaborativeprofessional to effectively manage our Additional Education Provision(AEN). The postholder will either have a recognised SEN qualification orextensive experience of working in SEN in a primary school setting. Therole requires a practitioner who strongly believes in an inclusive approach.They must have the expertise to set up systems for identifying SEN, puttingin place support, and assessing and reviewing the provision. This includescreating and monitoring individual education plans and provision maps withclass teachers, dual language teachers, and assistant teachers.

Requirements

5+ years of post-qualification experiencePrevious experience of working with students with additional learning needs is essentialSENCO qualification preferredYou should be an exceptional teacher, passionate about inspiring students to achieve their personal best.Relevant UK curriculum experience is desirable for Early Years and Primary roles; IB experience is preferred for all Secondary roles, with IGCSE experience a bonus.Prior international teaching experience is desirable.You will be excited about working in a dynamic, diverse community spanning many cultures and languages.You will be an educator who keeps abreast of academic research and you will have firm beliefs in the need to adjust your teaching to accommodate varying learning styles.You believe in embracing opportunities, being open-minded, and continuously reflecting, learning, and growing in your professionYou will be a teacher who puts the child at the heart of everything that you do.
