Summary
Location - Chorley Area
LTA / Reed Education are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in the Chorley area. This new role is a temporary position, starting after Easter for the right candidate. The role is covering full time hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 3:30pm.
In this role the candidate will be providing 1-to-1 support to a Reception pupil with SEMH needs. The pupil can find the classroom environment challenging at times, so the ideal candidate will have good behaviour management skills, the ability to build good relationships with pupils and positive handling training.
The candidate must have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) / relevant experience.
Within this role, your main responsibilities will be:
  • Monitoring targets for future progress
  • Establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers
  • Have a clear understanding of all the needs of all pupils
  • Monitoring pupils progress in reference with the school’s practice
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
