An opportunity for a Hands-On Fabrication Supervisor with valuable knowledge of Heavy Fabrication + Welding and production planning for an international client based in South Yorkshire.
Our exclusive client is a established organisation with more than 60 years engineering exposure in thier Industry. They have already engaged in the delivery of a wide range of high-profile projects across the UK and on the back of this they have been recently awarded another multi-million-pound valued project.
Fabrication Supervisor Duties and responsibilities -
- Monitor & maintain all workshop safety and look for ways to improve techniques and methods while maintaining H&S.
- Be the first point of contact for all workshop quality, disciplinary & production matters.
- Follow a programme of works and target hours to achieve all planned works on time and on budget.
- Monitor working methods and where possible implement ways to improve systems and techniques to ensure good working practices are maintained at all times.
- Produce and issue monthly and weekly, targets for the team and ensure targets are achieved.
- Produce and modify Risk Assessment and Method statements.
- Liaise with the workshops to manage weekly collections and delivery's & deliver schedules onto and offsite.
Keen to speak to Fabrication Supervisors with the following skills/experience/training -
- Have a strong fabrication/welding background.
- Be able to read engineering drawings and be able to communicate this to the shopfloor.
- Experience of production planning and be able to organise the workshop to meet these plans.
- Must be able to plan and coordinate work between the fabrication shop and paint shop.
The offer for the role of Fabrication Supervisor -
- Salary £38,000 per annum.
