You may not have heard of Stage One, but we can guarantee you will have seen our work. From the set of the TV show The Voice, to the Mercury Music Prize stage and even the 2012 Olympic Cauldron we produce work that is seen all over the world.
The Metal Workshop at Stage One provides a fully comprehensive range of services from machining individual components and manufacturing light gauge tubular structures, through to scenic construction and heavy gauge structures such as mezzanines and truss frames.
Joining us as a Fabricator / Welder, you will support the department in carrying out welding and fabrication tasks on projects running through the workshop to a high standard.
Fabricating mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium components ensuring the highest standards in finish and tolerances in accordance with information supplied, you will grind, sand, polish and detail fabrications to a required finish using hand and power tools; working with little or no supervision when required, using your own initiative.
Apprentice trained, or with time served fabrication experience, candidates should have knowledge of materials / grades of steel / metallurgy, a working knowledge of metal working machinery / equipment and the ability to recognise welding symbols and specification.
With excellent welding and fabrication skills, MIG, TIG, Aluminium and Stainless Steel, you should be comfortable reading engineering drawings and have experience of producing bespoke components and structures within a workshop environment.
