We are currently looking for a Facilities & Estates Supervisor to join our team. As a Facilities & Estates Supervisor at Together Housing, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our facilities and estates. You will line manage a dedicated team of Facility & Estate Operatives to deliver, Cleaning, Waste and soft compliance services.

Requirements

Outline of Key responsibilities for the Facilities & Estates Supervisor...

  • Prioritize health and safety as the top priority in all operations. Maintain good communication with the team through team meetings, toolbox talks, etc. Ensure staff members comply with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate and up-to-date use of COSHH/RAMS, safety equipment/devices, including vehicles.
  • Make decisions to adhere to the work program for cleaning, waste management, and soft compliance activities. Collaborate with Planning on resource and cost-related decisions.
  • Support the team's operational activities when necessary, demonstrating a positive work ethic and a proactive approach.
  • Ensure availability of cleaning materials and equipment that meet agreed standards.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain high service standards internally and externally, ensuring clean and safe areas for customers at all times.
  • Collaborate with Business Support to ensure completion of all soft compliance work, including deep cleaning, playgrounds, evasive weed treatments, and block checks.
  • Manage the performance and development of the team, providing expertise, coaching, and other developmental support as needed. Ensure the provision of a quality service and address underperformance appropriately.
  • Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with team members to set targets, monitor health and safety, and address concerns.

We are looking for someone who has...

  • Practical experience working in a Cleaning & Caretaking service
  • Experience as an operational supervisor, effectively managing a team
  • Practical knowledge and ability to operate Cleaning and Waste equipment and machinery
  • Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and specific site safety
  • Ability to collaborate with other managers and staff
  • Valid Driving License - Capability to legally drive a medium-sized lorry and trailer (category B+E ) on your driving license
  • Ability to conduct investigations and inspections and generate recommendations
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff and stakeholders

  • Salary: £27,333 per annum (Pay review pending April 2024)
