Your Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced and competent Facilities Cleaner to carry out the day-to-day cleaning of their building in Sheffield. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness within the building's communal spaces and studios. You will also ensure the prompt and efficient turnaround of the short-term stay apartments to minimize downtime.

This role allows you autonomy in your day-to-day work while still having secure backing from the GM. As a result, you must be a competent, reliable, and trustworthy Facilities Cleaner. Good communication skills and the ability to interact with different individuals are essential.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar background, such as working in a hotel or residential apartments, and will have a great eye for detail. As an ambassador of the brand on-site, you will be creating a professional, welcoming environment for all who reside, visit, and work in the building. Your goal will be to ensure that facilities are always of a high standard of cleanliness.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Follow a daily facility cleaning checklist to manage and maintain the cleanliness of the building to a high standard. Communal spaces include, but are not limited to, a communal lounge, gym, and reception.
• Manage trash bins, tidy and clean the bin store, and replace liners in public areas daily.
• Clean studios as requested by tenants.
• Promptly clean studios after short-term stays to minimize downtime.
• Maintain an inventory of all cleaning supplies.
• Ensure clear lines of communication with the GM (General Manager) and MS (Maintenance Supervisor).
• Participate in daily management meetings.
• Comply with all company health and safety policies and report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Engage with tenants and represent The James in a positive manner.

Background & Skills:

• 1 year of experience as a housekeeping supervisor or 3 years of experience in a similar role in property management or hospitality (hotels or serviced apartments).
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills, with an upbeat and can-do attitude.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Be a strong team player with an ability to develop and use collaborative relationships.
• Adaptability and resilience.
• Ability to build trust.
