Our client, a foreign bank, is seeking a Facilities / IT Support Operative to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time position with hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days work from home).
As part of the Professional Support Team you will be part of the smooth day to day running of the office. You will be primarily responsible to provide Facilities and IT support to the London branch, including Business Continuity, Health and Safety and other ad-hoc duties.
Duties include (but not limited to):
- Main contact for IT and Facilities Management in Head Office. Coordinate projects, attend regular calls and provide feedback to ensure a high level of support is received and best practice is implemented.
- Manage maintenance/ facilities/ premises contracts including the negotiation of renewals/new contracts in order to maximise value.
- Update and implement Health and Safety procedures, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Monitor and report on performance, and conduct risk assessments and audits, to maintain a fully compliant working environment.
- Deliver, test and update all emergency procedures, including the Business Continuity Plan, ensuring that plans are fit for purpose and staff are fully compliant with the procedures. Support Manager in Head Office with documentation updates and record keeping.
- Accountable for the auditing and regular review of all operational procedures, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated and best practice employed.
- Planning, carrying out and if appropriate handling different project management and providing support for (renovation/move) projects.
- Ensure that all works completed in the office are in accordance with the lease and liaise regularly with the landlord in order that a good working relationship is maintained.
- Negotiate and manage local contracts for mobile devices.
- Handle IT procurement and distribution of resources.
Skills & Experience:
- Min. 2/3 years relevant experience working in Facilities and/or Office Management
- Operational IT experience
- UK Health & Safety knowledge
- Confident to work with suppliers/contract management
- Team player with a hands-on attitude
- Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Numeracy skills desirable
