Join our well–established manufacturing team in Clevedon and make a valuable contribution to our success. We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Maintenance Assistant to help us ensure our facilities are always in top condition.
This is an no–going temporary role that may lead into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform basic plumbing tasks, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, maintaining water systems and changing tapsConduct basic electrical repairs and maintenance, such as replacing light fixtures, resetting breakers, and ensuring safe electrical practices.Undertake general maintenance duties, including painting, decorating, minor carpentry work and generally maintaining the building.Work at heightsAssist with the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring all equipment is safely installed and dismantled.Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly and efficiently.Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become problems. Requirements:
NVQ qualifies or apprenticeship within building services / facilitiesRelevant certifications or vocational training in plumbing, electrical work, or general maintenanceProven experience with basic plumbing and electrical tasks 18th Edition desirableAbility to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.Comfortable working at heights and using ladders and other equipment safely.Basic skills in painting and decorating.Must be computer literate and have experience with Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.A proactive attitude and the ability to manage time effectively.Willingness to learn and take on new challenges as they arise.
