The role
As a Facilities Management Assistant, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Supporting the site supervisory team as part of the multi-skilled team delivering a wide range of hard and soft Facilities Management support to Babcock properties.
Day to day, you'll perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required, as well as:

• Use appropriate tools and equipment in a safe manner in order not to harm user or others.
• Report issues in an agreed prompt manner to the site supervisory team.
• The limited use of a computer for emails and to upload work, (training will be given)
• Carry out inspections on equipment to ensure it is serviceable and compliant.
• Help to maintain the buildings to current legislation and ensure a safe working environment.

Essential experience of the Facility Management Assistant

• Basic DIY skills and in-depth understanding of maintenance procedures
• Problem-solving skills for addressing safety and maintenance concerns
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for giving instructions to contractors
• Organisation, multi-tasking, and scheduling skills
• Full UK driving licence

Qualifications for the Facilities Management Assistant

The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance for this role.
