Facilities Manager – Large Scale Manufacturing

Facilities Manager Opportunity in North Birmingham. Candidates need Large Scale Manufacturing industry experience.

We are on the hunt for an experienced Facilities Manager for a global manufacturing and recycling leader based in the heart of North Birmingham. Part of a very successful global recycling / packaging organisation, this employer offers a great salary, benefits and long term career prospects. Permanent, Monday to Friday, 36 hours.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Facilities Manager will:

• Plan and co-ordinate specific site maintenance contracts and any remedial actions arising from the undertaking of the work, which will include the maintenance of the infrastructure of the site using SAP to request and justify any additional maintenance request.
• Undertake workloads which are planned, co-ordinated and allocated to a schedule of work in conjunction with the Engineering Planning team, co-ordinating and liaising with Insurance Inspection Engineering surveyors in the completion of their duties for site wide compliance and certification.
• Respond to breakdowns that have an immediate effect of plant safety, environmental release and plant performance quickly and efficiently towards a resolution.
• Continuously aim to achieve the highest possible standards of maintenance to minimise downtime within the constraints of budgetary costs as processed through the purchasing route structure.

The nature of this role will require accurate and detailed report keeping as Insurance, internal and external auditors and other interested parties will need access to copies of records.

Facilities Manager person requirements:

• Substantial Large Scale manufacturing facilities management experience
• Minimum Level 3 Engineering Qualification
• Full knowledge of legislative and compliance essentials of carrying out a site Facilities Manager role
• Experience of using SAP
