We are excited to present an excellent opportunity for a Facilities Supervisor in Coventry. This permanent position involves overseeing infrastructure facilities management and maintenance at a bustling manufacturing and distribution site. The role requires coordination of scheduled and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring high standards through in-house operatives or subcontractors. As the first point of contact for urgent requests, you will play a key role in maintaining statutory compliance and enhancing the site's overall efficiency.

Facilities Supervisor Key Responsibilities:

• Manage statutory compliance for infrastructure maintenance, including health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Oversee timely completion of preventative and reactive facilities maintenance tasks.
• Maintain effective relationships with operatives and contractors to ensure consistent, high-quality work.
• Act as the primary contact for breakdowns and urgent requests.
• Schedule and maintain task records using digital management systems.
• Oversee the in-house security team and update the site asset register.
• Monitor maintenance spend against budget, escalating unexpected costs for review.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including production teams, HQ workers, and third-party tenants.
• Implement service improvement actions and participate in proof-of-concept trials for new technologies.

Collaboration and Empowerment:

• Collaborate with senior management and operations teams to evaluate improvement opportunities.
• Liaise with production management and equipment maintenance teams to identify synergies.
• Coordinate activities of operatives and contractors to ensure tasks are completed to standard.
• Propose process improvement initiatives and engage with management to deploy new technologies.

Moving Forward:

• Support business development with evidence for tender proposals and customer visits.
• Assist with asset lifecycle planning and the development of a forward maintenance plan.

Facilities Supervisor Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience:

Essential:

• Proficiency in English.
• GCSE or equivalent in maths.
• Awareness of health, safety, and environmental issues.
• Experience in scheduling and managing maintenance tasks.
• Budget control skills.
• SIA non-frontline security license holder.
• Competent in Microsoft Office functions.
• Understanding of statutory compliance in commercial and industrial buildings.

Desirable:

• Legionella Awareness, Asbestos Awareness.
• Health and Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH), First Aid at Work certified.
• Project Management experience or qualification.

Facilities Supervisor Skills, Abilities, and Personal Qualities:

Essential:

• Understanding of electrical and mechanical maintenance functions.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
• Honest, confident, resilient, and flexible.

Desirable:

• Entrepreneurial approach.
• Experience in or understanding of automotive industries.
• Understanding of lean process principles and site security risk management.
• Previous expierence within a manufacturing setting.
