This well established manufacturer in Newhaven are looking for a Factory Administrator on a 1 years contract (maternity) to join renowned experts in manufacturing within plastics. They supply global, blue-chip customers in industries including life sciences, medical devices and industrial applications with solutions and more. Part of a small, friendly team, this role is a key internal role to support the smooth functioning of the company. Factory Administrator Role: Reporting to the Production Director, you will be responsible for the daily administration of factory operations and general company administration. This role is an important part of the smooth operation of the factory. Duties include a mix of activities from placing orders, maintaining certain stock levels, receiving goods in deliveries and maintaining various systems relating to the manufacturing process and personnel. Factory Administrator Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Progress orders Receive both indirect and direct material orders, book in and process the paperwork Take incoming telephone calls and forward to relevant personnel Supply monthly reports to the Production Director, including Work in Progress statistics Perform other administrative duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the factory office Qualifications and Experience: Working in an office environment with experience of following procedures for data input, retrieval and documentation control Previously worked in an production/factory administration role Be computer literate and have a good level of MS Packages and ERP skills Good understanding of manufacturing processes including assembly techniques Factory Administrator's Benefits Salary: £28k (DOE) 23 days holidays plus BH Xmas shut down Retailer discounts Training & Development PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS A 1 YEARS' MATERNITY COVER AND SUITABLE FOR APPLICANTS FROM A ENGINEERING, MANUFACTURING, FACTORY OR PRODUCTION BACKGROUND AS AN ADMINISTRATOR
