Factory Operative

Gi Group are recruiting for a Factory Operative to work in Southam, CV47 for our client specialising in the fabrication of aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling!
IMMEDIATE START
Shift available:
Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 17:00 , Friday 07:30 - 12:00   
Pay Rate:
£11.44 per hour  plus 3 additional hours if full week completed 
Purpose of job/basic function:
This role is responsible for performing all aspects, to the highest quality level, of the fabrication of aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling within a busy factory environment. You are also responsible for providing technical support and training in the production of aluminium windows, doors and curtain walling.
The Role of a Factory Operative:
• Undertake all aspects of fabrication from cutting profile, crimping, gasketing and cleaning.
• Ensure the fabrication piece is made to specification and to a high standard of finish.
• Ensure best optimisation of materials during production.
• Prevent damage to material surfaces during production.
• Liaise with the Production Management to assess the build process required for each new job/contract prior to the start of manufacture.
• Review Schucal working documents and assist in solving any problems discovered.
• Assist other team members with technical queries.
• To produce work to an acceptable standard as per the drawings issued by the production team.
• Working to the set deadlines set down by the production team.
• Maintain areas of work in a clean and tidy state.

Knowledge/Experience/Attributes Of Factory Operative: 
● Detailed Aluminium window and door fabrication knowledge of the systems used within the factory ideally Schueco.
● Good oral communications skills.
● Ability to read and decipher engineering drawings – essential.
● Organisational skills.
● Ability to work alone as well as with others.
The Person

• Will live or have their own transport to Southam (CV47)
• Will be experienced in Manufacturing or similar work.
• Must be able to understand and carry out instructions.
• Previous experience as a Factory operative desirable
• Will be self-motivated and a quick learner.
• Good Attitude
