The Role

As Faculty Engagement Manager, you will lead a dedicated team of SAgE focussed Careers and Employability Consultants within Careers Service and work closely with colleagues in Education and Business, Innovation and Skills teams within the Faculty. Your primary responsibilities will include developing collaborative partnerships, embedding employability skills in and alongside the curriculum, and leading the delivery of career education initiatives in Schools and centrally within the Careers Service. A member of the Careers Service management team and closely connected into faculty structures, you will work with academic schools, senior managers, students, employers and other Faculty Engagement Managers to ensure our activity plans align with the overall objectives of the university’s strategic plan for careers and employability.

Key Accountabilities
• Act as a key liaison between the Careers Service and the SAgE faculty, identifying opportunities for collaboration in employability and enterprise skill enhancement experiences
• Lead a team of Careers and Employability Consultants to embed employability and enterprise education opportunities within and alongside the curriculum in a scalable and sustainable manner, working collaboratively with the Faculty and your team
• Plan and organize a programme of centrally delivered careers education, advice, and guidance to students, including elective modules, 1-1 appointments, events, workshops, and extra-curricular programs
• Lead and support your team in managing their caseload, providing consultancy services to Academic Schools, and advising stakeholders on the best ways to support students' employability and enterprise skills
• Represent the Careers Service at Faculty level, ensuring understanding of the value it adds and mitigating potential duplication in provision

The Person
We are looking for candidates with a degree (or equivalent) and a professional qualification in careers guidance (e.g., QCG/DipCG) or a relevant professional qualification in teaching and learning (e.g., FHEA). You should have a good understanding of the HE employability landscape/graduate recruitment labour market and the ability to work credibly with senior university colleagues, thinking strategically and innovatively.
