Job description

Background This is an exciting opportunity to lead on the implementation of QuantumIT’s InPlace Placement Management System within one of two Faculties in the University.  This is a new role which you will have the opportunity to develop and mould, alongside the Placement Systems Manager and your placement team. The Software Solution will be used initially in two Faculties in the University: Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Education – to manage placements for Initial Teacher Training Faculty of Medicine, Health and Social Care Role The key purpose of the Faculty Placements Systems Lead post is to support the implementation of the new system and once in live to manage and enhance the use of the placements system in the Faculty. You will be responsible for administering and supporting the development of the system to improve the effectiveness for users across the Faculty and in placement partners. You will provide expert guidance, advice, and assistance to all users and will contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the usage of the system. You will contribute to the placements community of practice. Person To be successful in this role you will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated team player. You will be interested in process improvement and how IT systems can best support us in delivering efficient and effective placement arrangements to our students, placement setting partners and academic staff. You will have experience in using database systems. You must be able to demonstrate well developed skills in Microsoft Office programmes. Excellent numeracy, written and oral communication skills and an excellent customer service ethos are essential requirements.  Knowledge and Understanding of the organisation of professional training placements in Higher Education settings would also be advantageous.
