They believe in raising awareness through education, training and partnerships in their community.
Their service is about supporting children and young people who have experienced Domestic Abuse either in a relationship or family setting.
Our client is currently looking for a Family Domestic Abuse Practitioner to join their service on a full-time basis, for a 12 month, fixed term contract.

The Role
As a Family Domestic Abuse Practitioner, you will provide high-quality, specialist Domestic Abuse support to parents and their children in our client’s delivery areas.
Working with colleagues and other statutory and voluntary agencies, you will enhance parenting capacity and rebuild family bonds.
You will also increase the resilience of families, focusing primarily on their safety and recovery.
Developing working relationships with agencies working within the local community, you will work to increase your awareness, confidence and knowledge of tackling Domestic Abuse.
About You
To be considered as a Family Domestic Abuse Practitioner, you will need:
- Experience of working with young people who have experienced either Domestic Abuse or trauma within their lives
- Good knowledge of trauma-informed care
- In-depth knowledge of Domestic Abuse and its impact on young people
- An understanding of the dynamics of risk and how to effectively mitigate risks with robust safety plans
- Strong case management skills
- A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle
