Family Law Specialist, 12 month maternity contract

• As LEAP's subject matter expert in Family Law. You will be instrumental in shaping our offering and ensuring LEAP's position as the best Family Law software solution in the UK market.
• You will identify opportunities for future development projects to enhance the end consumer experience, developing initiatives to improve usage, engaging with customers and other stakeholders to source feedback, and reporting KPI's to the UK executive team.

Our Content Development team are the local, regional and global professionals reassuring clients that our software isn't just cutting edge - it's world class too. Responsible for maintaining LEAP's global standards of care and expertise, the team harnesses a deep and complex understanding of the intricacies of law across jurisdictions and over time - ensuring LEAP's output is always current, compliant and appropriate.

From database design to document management and legal research, you'll turn an encyclopaedic knowledge of the law into a more streamlined and automated global LEAP experience. As a result, LEAP helps law firms help people and make a real difference.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain an outstanding knowledge of LEAP software & it's companion products
• Promote use of LEAP products & drive adoption in Family Law
• Shape product development of software in Family Law
• Report on in-depth competitor analyses in areas of Legal Technology
• Ensure LEAP's processes comply with up-to-date legislation within Family Law
• Research forms, legislation, and legal processes relevant to Family Law
• Identify the need for, schedule & conduct onsite / remote visits & training sessions
• Attend industry events to speak with existing customers

What you'll bring

• 3-5 years' experience working as a Family Law Solicitor, with experience in aspects of Family law such as: Divorce, Children, Mediation, Financial matters, Collaborative law and Domestic Violence
• Up-to-date specialist knowledge of the law and legal system, and relevant experience of handling a wide range of cases
• Experience of case management systems
• An understanding of the small law firm's culture & expectations
• A passion for technology
• Budgeting skills and commercial awareness
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Excellent organisational skills
• Full clean driving license / Access to own car and ability to drive (generous car allowance provided)
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); skilled in dealing sensitively with clients
• Completed a degree or equivalent qualification
