Family Liaison/Attendance Officer

Are you ready to make a difference at Friars Primary (Foundation) School?

We are seeking to appoint a part-time, highly motivated and enthusiastic Family Liaison Officer/Attendance Officer to join our team.

You will provide a service to our pupils and families to ensure that there is an effective partnership between home and school and all barriers to learning are removed. The role will include a number of responsibilities revolving around children's attendance and dealing with any issues that might arise, you will liaise with pupils, parents, and school staff to both identify and deal with potential attendance related issues.

We are looking for someone who:

• has experience of working with pupils of primary age (4-11 years)
• has experience of working with families and dealing with attendance matters
• has the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and staff
• has the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• has the ability to follow instruction and take initiative
• has excellent communication skills including planning, information sharing and supporting staff
• has good ICT skills and the confidence to use new technology
