Family Panel Solicitor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Children Panel/ Family Law Panel Solicitor to join a well-established law firm as a Family Legal Aid Supervising Solicitor in London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage caseload of care proceedings and PLO cases representing parents, private law Children Act proceedings, non-molestation, and occupation orders, as well as divorce and financial matters (most of the work is legal aid, some cases are privately funded)
• Supervise junior members of team.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in handling legally aided work and a comprehensive understanding of compliance requirements for legal aid.
• Supervisory skills are essential, as the role involves overseeing a trainee solicitor and a solicitor, along with some managerial responsibilities within the family department to support the senior partner.
• Family Law Panel or Children Panel member accredited.
• Strong interpersonal and IT skills.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and supervisory abilities.
• Demonstrable experience in undertaking publicly funded work, including proficiency with CCMS.
