Salary- Client Support: Assist in managing client relationships, including answering client inquiries, scheduling appointments, and maintaining regular communication.
- Case Preparation: Prepare legal documents, including divorce petitions, child custody agreements, financial disclosures, and other relevant paperwork.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal research to support attorneys in case preparation and strategy development.
- Court Filings: File legal documents with the appropriate courts and agencies, ensuring they comply with all regulations and deadlines.
- Document Management: Organise and maintain case files, keeping them up-to-date and well-organised.
- Calendar Management: Maintain attorney calendars, scheduling court dates, meetings, and deadlines.
- Interact with Opposing Counsel: Communicate and collaborate with opposing counsel, court personnel, and clients professionally and effectively.
- Billing: Assist in tracking billable hours and expenses, as well as preparing client invoices.
- Legal Software: Proficiency in using legal software for document management, timekeeping, and research.
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience as a Family Paralegal is preferred.
- Knowledge of family law principles and legal procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
