Job Description:
As a Casual Farm Worker at Dahlia Beach Flower Farm, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the beauty and productivity of our flower farm. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Potting Up Dahlia Tubers: Assist in potting up dahlia tubers, ensuring proper planting depth and soil conditions for optimal growth.
• Planting Out Tubers: Help plant out tubers in designated flower beds, following planting schedules and spacing guidelines.
• Sowing Seeds: Participate in sowing seeds for various flower varieties, ensuring proper seedling care and transplanting as needed.
• Maintaining the Poly Tunnel: Assist in maintaining the poly tunnel, including watering, ventilation, and temperature control to create ideal growing conditions for flowers.
• Washing Buckets: Clean and sanitize buckets used for harvesting and arranging flowers to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination.
• Keeping a Tidy Farm: Take pride in keeping the farm organized and tidy, including cleaning work areas, equipment maintenance, and disposing of waste properly.
• Good Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with the team to coordinate tasks, share ideas, and address any issues or concerns that may arise.

Requirements:

• Physically Strong: Ability to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and prolonged periods of standing, often in varying weather conditions.
• Outdoor Enthusiast: Enjoy working outdoors and have a passion for nature and horticulture.
• Team Player: Collaborate effectively with fellow team members to accomplish daily tasks and achieve farm goals.
• Attention to Detail: Take pride in ensuring every flower is cared for with precision and dedication.
• Driver's License: Ability to drive a van is a bonus for transporting flowers and equipment between farm locations.
