My client are a well-established law firm based in Liverpool are offering a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join our team due to continued business growth.
We are looking for a diligent, confident, self-motivated and experienced person to fill the role of Fee Earner.
Role Responsibilities
- Handling a caseload of Claimant HDR (Housing Disrepair), Financial Mis-Selling
- Handling transferred fast track HDR files that are ready to litigate
- Representing the team in the conduct of client matters in providing legal advice and assistance in a professional matter
- Completing all necessary investigations into the circumstances of the incident and the value of the client's claim, carrying out legal research as required
- Collating and reviewing the evidence to assess prospects of the claim succeeding its merits
- Negotiating settlement on the best possible terms for the Client ensuring that instructions are followed or taken at the vital points
- Ensuring that the legal expenses provider is kept updated at all key stages
- Drafting the necessary documents to issue court proceedings, following court directions, drafting statements and preparing the file for a final court hearing
- Identifying and appropriately investigating all conflicts, complaints and potential acts of negligence and ensuring they are reported immediately to a team leader or member of the compliance team
Experience Required
- A minimum of six months experience in a similar role either in-house or within private practice
- Basic legal background i.e. knowledge of fundamental legal concepts
- Confidence to manage colleagues’ expectations and ensure delivery by following up on items which have been promised
- HDR/Financial Mis Selling knowledge
- Writing skills- to be applied in written papers for internal and external release

- £27,000 - £35,000 + commission
