Job description

Part Time Female Carer/ Personal assistant needed to work a 10 hour shift every Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday.

Flexibility is essential as to the start and end time of each shift as hours are dependant on fluctuating health needs.

Shifts will vary over the coming months between 10am and 8pm

To 12pm to 10pm

Looking to hire immediately,

You must not have regular contact with hospitals or care homes as my immune system does not work.

£15 per hour Monday to Saturday.

£19 per hour on Sundays.

Earn £150 per day weekdays and £190 per day Sundays. Additional shifts may become available if wanted. You must be available for emergency sleepovers on rare occasions if my health declines. You must be flexible and available to cover colleagues sickness on other days when asked so I am not left without care. A committed carer is crucial.

Salary starts at £25,480 per year for 3 days work per week.

Payment is made at the end of every calendar month by bank transfer.

No experience needed. Just a willingness to learn.

I’m in my late 30's and in need of support in all aspects of daily life such as cooking, cleaning and general housekeeping.

I have daily muscle spasms so need my muscles rubbing/massaged each day. Very easy to learn, training provided.

Requirements to work:

  • proof of right to live and work in the UK such as passport, visa, share code or settlement status
  • proof of 3 COVID-19 vaccination or willing to arrange one immediately
  • Paper certificate of a DBS with no convictions. Old or expired DBS are OK, serial numbers to online data bases are not.
  • No regular contact with hospitals or care homes
  • Will wear a face mask, gloves, have excellent hygiene
  • Can supply details of references of 2 previous employers
  • Good Cook

I have limited mobility and have a range of health problems including seizures and chronic pain.

As this is a hands on job, I am looking for someone who can:

  • do manual handling, help do an easy to learn technique called pressure pointing to relieve muscle spasms.
  • Provide me with a lot of quiet and calm
  • able to follow instructions well
  • flexible with duties due to fluctuating nature of my illness
  • positive attitude under stress
  • well organised
  • Push me in my wheelchair
  • Help support and position my body when needed
  • Fetching or moving anything I ask
  • Dispensing and collecting medication (training provided)
  • Making phone calls for me - good telephone manner essential
  • Keeping a written record of all medication taken
  • Looking after me when having a seizure
  • Massaging my muscles every day, particularly when they spasm.
  • Keeping my small home clean and tidy
  • Has excellent housekeeping skills
  • Cooking all of my meals and preparing snacks
  • Washing my hair for me
  • Helping me use the bathroom and emptying my commode
  • Doing my washing/laundry and ironing
  • Doing my shopping
  • Doing anything a healthy person would. In need of a PA who is happy to be my arms and legs.

I also live with my fiancé who has health conditions but only requires food preparation/meals cooked and laundry doing, no other help is needed
