You are the Team Leader, responsible for leading a team to provide service excellence. You will oversee the day to day running of the service and be the first point of contact for your team to raise queries to.
Your job duties and responsibilities will be:
- Relationship management with internal and external customers and stakeholders. Meeting the needs of the tenants ensuring emotional, spiritual, physical, medical, and material needs are recognised whilst maintaining positive relationships with external agencies and charities.
- Lead and manage a team of support workers, ensuring good communication and collaborative working to achieve positive outcomes for tenants.
- Support the Service Manager with referrals and placement planning. Recognise and assess individual needs and involve relevant agencies where needed.
- Work with the Service Manager to maintain compliance in relation to support plans, risk assessments and property audits. As well as ensuring the property meets all fire and building regulations.
- Respond to day-to-day tenant and staff queries
- Manage the rota
- Complete Staff supervisions and Return to Work interviews
- Support the Service Manager with Recruitment
- Ensure void rooms are suitable for emergency accommodations referrals
- Manage the properties repairs and book contractors when required.

As a Team Leader, you will be a highly organised individual, able to coordinate large workloads in an efficient way. You must possess the ability to effectively work both on your own and as part of a team and hold good verbal and written communication skills. You will be able to work under pressure, be responsible and able to adapt quickly to changing requirements. You must be compassionate for the needs of others and make decisions in line with what you deem is achievable, and thereafter deliver it.
Essential Skills:
- Experience in leading and managing a team.
- Previous experience of working in the Housing sector.
- In-depth knowledge of Supported Accommodation.
- Background in working with vulnerable individuals with a history of challenging behaviour.
- Familiarity with issues such as domestic abuse, substance misuse, alcohol addiction, and homelessness.
- Proven ability to handle large workloads and to work under pressure.
- Confident using own initiative to respond to situations and problem solve.
- Good people skills with the ability to provide an exceptional level of service.
